Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets

  • 3 tbsp honey

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Fresh parsley to garnish

Directions

  • Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Heat butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear salmon for 4 minutes per side until golden.
  • Mix honey, garlic, and soy sauce. Pour over salmon in the pan.
  • Baste continuously for 2 minutes until sauce is sticky and caramelised.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Don’t overcook the salmon — 4 minutes per side is enough. It should still be slightly pink in the centre.
Pat the salmon dry before seasoning for a better sear.
Swap soy sauce for tamari to make it gluten free.
Leftovers keep in the fridge for up to 2 days — reheat gently in a pan.
